Life is just busy. Finding time to do all the things we like and want to do is a never ending challenge. I’ve been working on a few items that peeked my interest at Convention. But my progress has been slow. I refuse to add anything new to the unfinished pile. I must and will complete them before moving on.
To start with, I stitched one of the Majestic Cutwork designs. Design 221201 with 158,901 stitches. It stitched beautifully. I did have a thread break about 120,000 stitches into the design. I was near the end of my spool of thread and the thread tangled a bit. I changed the needle, cleaned the bobbin area and watched closely as the spool emptied. The next day after stopping for another spool of thread I finished the design. My the Smart Save feature is nice on the Diamond. Oh, sorry, I’m getting a bit ahead of myself.
I stitched the Majestic Cutwork design as a applique rather than cutwork. I really like the way the fabric shows through. It does take time and care to trim the top fabric and not poke or cut the applique. I did the applique fabric underneath to make the cut away part easier.

I’ll be stitching this design into a bag. I have the lining fabric picked out and a few finishing details in mind. Now to make sure I finish it before I move onto other things. It will be a fun bag to carry.
Here are a couple of designs created in 4D Express Monogram Wizard. They too stitched nicely. I have one finished and the other one just needs to go in the frame. It’s a 15 minute task so I should be able to get it done tonight. Well maybe not tonight but this week for sure.

I don’t have the 4D ExpressMonogram Wizard software yet. My sewing sister Brenda was visiting. She brought her lap top and let me play.
We attended the Original Creative Festival on June 25th and 26th. We both had classes. I spend most of the two days with Cynthia Guffey. She is a talented seamstress and teacher and she is entertaining. Now to remember at least some of what was taught. I do need to work on my pants pattern. I haven’t found any one that looks good with a droopy bottom.
For some reason I had my camera for two days and left it in the car. So I don’t have pictures to share. It was a lot of fun. It was also fun to see all my sewing friends at the show. It makes me feel like Cincinnati is becoming my home.
So that’s all I have this week. I do need to share a few exciting things in my life. Hopefully next week. Till then, sew soon. LIN
